Grand Tour Zadar – Dubrovnik

If you want to experience the region of Dalmatia intensively and do not want to miss out on Dubrovnik, surrounded by its imposing walls, this tour is the right choice for you. Accompanied by your comfortable motor yacht, you can explore the varied region of South Dalmatia for one week. Breathtaking natural beauty and cultural highlights accompany you throughout the day. Highlights of the trip are the cities of Dubrovnik and Trogir, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. We will visit the islands of Hvar, Korcula, Mljet and Dugi Otok and experience the coexistence of land and sea as well as of culture and nature.

Day 1   Zadar

Zadar has been the political, cultural and spiritual center of Dalmatia for centuries. Embarkation in Zadar between 2 and 2:30 pm. At around 4:30 pm, Your guide will take you on an extended stroll through the narrow streets of the lively Old Town. 3,000 years of history characterize the cityscape. The night is spent in Zadar offering our guests a chance to enjoy the ambiance of this lively town.

Day 2    Dugi Otok

During breakfast the ship takes us to the spice island of Dugi Otok. In the bay of Božava, surrounded by pine forests, agaves and tamarisks, our bike tour begins on an almost car-free road. Enjoy the views along the “highway in the sky” on your way to Sali, where you will spend the night.

Day 3    Kornati National Park – Murter – Vodice – Šibenik

In the morning we embark on a wonderful cruise through the picturesque landscapes of the Kornati National Park. The island archipelago, surrounded by crystal clear waters, is known for its variety of aquatic species and is wonderful island formations. Our port of call is a small que on the island of Murter, connected to the mainland by a bridge. Our bike tour takes us onto the coastal mainland where we follow the coast to the popular holiday destination of Vodice. From here we continue by boat to the city of Šibenik, located on the shores of the Krka River delta. . The Cathedral of Saint James belongs to the UNESCO world heritage program and is the most beautiful religious building along the Adriatic coast. The old town of Šibenik itself is well worth a visit with its many small alley ways crisscrossing up the hill to the town’s watchful fortress.

Day 4    Šibenik – Krka- Waterfalls – Trogir

During breakfast the boat takes us up the Krka river delta following upstream all the way to Skradin. In Skradin we board a smaller boat and continue up stream into the National Park. Here we will have the chance to see the most famous part of the Krka National Park with its unique, natural waterfalls as we follow an enchanting board walk through the green wilderness.  In the afternoon we board the boat and make our way back down the Krka River towards the Adriatic in the direction of Trogir. We have the afternoon to discover the medieval old town, belonging to the UNESCO world cultural program.

Day 5    Hvar Island

From Trogir, we cross from to the beautiful harbor of Stari Grad, on the island of Hvar, founded as a Greek colony of Faros and has developed into a mecca for artists and art lovers in recent years. Today’s bike tour leads us through lavender fields to the island capital, where we can visit the magnificent Renaissance Square and enjoy the view of the Spanish fortress towering high above the city.

Day 6    Korčula Island

A morning crossing takes us to Prigradica on the island of Korčula. By bicycle we will discover the eastern half of the island, one of the most beautiful in Dalmatia. On the way we can enjoy the view of Pupnat Bay, which is one of the favorite photo motifs of our guest, a contrast of shallow turquoise bays and deep blue channel waters. In the late afternoon we arrive at the island capital, which competes with Venice for the honor of being the birthplace of the famous discoverer Marco Polo. In the evening, we will have plenty of time to explore the fantastic old town with its narrow alleys and Venetian flair.

Day 7    Mljet Island – Dubrovnik

After breakfast we cruise to the green and forested island Mljet – known as the honey island. With 70 % of the island covered in woodland it’s one of the greenest islands in the Mediterranean area. Homer mentioned this lovely island in his epic poem “Odyssey”. He made it a home for the Nymph Calypso and the legendary Greek king Odysseus, who could not resist Calypso and stayed on Mljet for seven years. From Pomena we will cycle across the island to meet the boat for the last crossing to Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic. On a guided tour we will get to know this beautiful city with its numerous impressive palaces and the mighty walls. A celebrative dinner is enjoyed on board in the company of the tour guides, crew and guests.

Day 8    Dubrovnik

After breakfast disembarkation in Dubrovnik and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.

The FLEXeBIKE stands for innovation; a high end e-bike which can be morphed onto a standard hybrid bike when you remove the battery and substitute the motorized rear wheel with a standard one.
